Christa Riggins, founder of Riggins Law, has committed her practice to helping employees enforce their rights in the workplace. Ms. Riggins, a Los Angeles employment lawyer, exclusively represents employees in employment disputes, including those involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. Ms. Riggins is admitted to practice law in the State of California and serves employees in the greater Los Angeles area.
Prior to opening her own law firm, Ms. Riggins worked at a boutique employment law firm where she litigated a wide range of employment discrimination cases to successful resolution. During that time, she focused her practice on pregnancy and disability discrimination and violations of federal and state leave laws, including the Pregnancy Disability Leave Law (“PDLL”), the Family and Medical Leave Act (“FMLA”), and the California Family Rights Act (“CFRA”).
Ms. Riggins received her J.D. from Notre Dame Law School, where she focused her studies on civil rights and employment law, and her B.A., in Business, from the University of Notre Dame. She is a member of the California Employment Lawyers Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Labor and Employment Section, and Legal Eagles for Truth, Justice, and the American Way.
An article Ms. Riggins co-authored titled, Why Employment-Discrimination Cases Usually Belong in State Court, was recently published in the Advocate Journal of Consumer Attorneys Associations for Southern California.
